I know it's off topic but this is where I do most of my posting on RL. Also, I know many of you also have air-cooled Porsche's in your garages or at least interest in them. Luftgekuhlt (pronounced Loof-ta-cult) is an event put on and Co-founded by Porsche Factory Driver Patrick Long and his friend and creative director Howie Idelson. It started out as a show purely for air-cooled Porsches, though with it's popularity, we're starting to see water-pumpers show up as well. It was held in Vernon CA today which is just outside of Downtown Los Angeles. The outside parking lots were filled with Porsches that were just as nice and in some cases nicer, than many of the Porsche's inside the event.
I would highly recommend attending this event if you haven't before. This was the third one and my second, and surpassed the high expectations set by the awesomeness of last year's event.
There were so many great cars! But for Eduardo, there were two particular cars you may enjoy as you are the PTS King around these parts. There was a 1973 911T turned RS tribute that is in it's as delivered original paint. The only one made, it is called Zambese Green! It was a very rich green, quite darker than Viper or Signal, yet still a lot lighter than say a British Racing Green. It was actually a pretty neat color. Also, there was a 1970T in the gorgeous and very rare Oslo Blue (Blau).
