Great write up.

Makes me think that this type of transmission bushing upgrade may be the reason for the GTS shifting improvement? I say this because the the GTS tranny has zero new parts versus it's predecessor. I have heavily researched this fact.

Hmmm. Maybe GTS has more solid bushings stock?

Any of you guys knows what size or type of socket this is? Is the bolt that holds the transmission bushing.

You'll need an E18 as well as an E24

edit: it's called an E-Torx

bogdan_p, How much did it cost you to have it installed? Name of the shop? I live in VA trying to get some work done to my 991 as well.

I did my own install, so it didn't cost me anything.

I would probably check with Intersport or other Porsche shops. It shouldn't be a terrible price since it's a fairly straightforward part.

I've been having good luck with Auto Sportsystems Group, they are located in Fairfax.

Just investigated. Same OEM bushing is used across all variants including GTS.

Nobody including my parts source has ever found any different part numbers for the GTS transmission, gearbox, etc. All the same. Placebo effect?

Marcos: Let us know your impressions as well. I may be the guinea pig and willing to try the soft mounts (orange) after I give FF a call this afternoon.

I would think the soft version would still be a decent improvement? Even to a brand new OEM mount?

This is what I'm thinking but the reason for my call to FF to inquire first. Website seems to type it more as an OEM replacement rather than upgrade. Looks like Orange is 60A, yellow 70A and black 80A. Anyone able to figure out/find out what the OEM bushing is??

Well I just finish installing the yellow bushings took me about 2:30 including an oil change. I took a quick drive and the vibration and noise are about 40 to 50% more than stock. You can really feel and hear the clutch engagement behind you. But I'm not sure if I like it I feel is to hard core for me. I would venture to say that most people will be happy with the softer bushing.
