Default New Track Toy | 1999 C2

After running with my local PCA Club at HPDE Events for the last 7 years in Miatas and E36 M3s, I decided I should get a 911 so I would fit in. After selling my last E36, I was torn between getting an E46 M3 and a 996. I know the E46 would be a bit cheaper to maintain, but the 996 seemed like it was going to be more fun (and a new challenge).

Found a 99 C2 in Florida. Great Car Fax, Great PPI with tons of maint. records and has been used for HPDEs and daily driven for the last 10 years. This is something that I like to see when buying a track car, since it is tough to defer maintenance and keep it on the track.

Also, already has the teqequipment rollbar, and came with a race seat and harness in addition to the stock interior so it is ready for the track.

Made the deal over a couple weeks of negotiations and she was delivered on Saturday. I don't have the title yet (PO still had a loan, so I went through a dealer to do the transaction), so I have only driven 12 miles, but it as a fun 12 miles.

Looking forward to the my first even in it at the end of April, and looking forward to learning and contributing here.

A couple of pictures.

I like the pile of 996 books in the last photo - someone's gonna get greasy.

Congrats on the new car Kris, it looks great. You're going to love the 996 on track...they make great track cars IMHO.

P.S. Is this Gator's old car?

Yep, that's gotta be Gator's car.
You might wanna get those seats sanitized.
Twice.
Just sayin'.

Man, you got ripped off. The last owner is a real *** around here and used to brag about how he beat the hell out of it!

j/k, you got a great deal on an excellent car. Congrats and welcome

Great choice and awesome looking car! Sure beats buying one from a dealer that God only knows what it's been through.
