My car came with 'V" shaped black plastic covers that clipped below the metal nut and covered the exposed part with some space. My car is at its winter hideaway so I can't post pictures.

Thank you. When the key is turned I hear nothing indicating that there is some intermittent electrical connection problem. I will eventually look at the starter motor and solenoid.

Doesn't anybody have a torque map of the post fix engine? If this does not exist surely somebody can produce a pre and post torque and hp map from 1000 to 4600 RPM.

Did you follow any write-up on what needs to be removed to change the switch? I assume this is the part on the other side of where the ignition key is inserted.
This seems to go bad periodically...

Based on what I have seen and heard from the engineers - this is exactly what i expect as well. The chances of a buy back for the late 3l engines is very small.

The 313 hp/479lbft engine is also 3.0l but has 2 turbos while the 240hp/428flbt (currently in the Audis) has a single turbo. In Europe both are available, in the US only the 240hp/428ftlb.
