I bought a Champion H5 (same as Group 47) AGM from Pep Boys. It's a perfect fit in the 996 battery tray - the battery feet on 3 of 4 sides are captured by the tray. Because the H5 is less than 10...

I just killed my 2nd Odyssey 925 and want to try something different. For the folks using the Die Hard Group 47 batteries - these look like conventional lead acid batteries. Have you had any issues...

Smarty Cam boot problem

I've got an original (non HD) Smarty Cam and just recently it refuses to boot up past the opening screen with the penguin. Doesn't matter if I'm powering it from the wall supply or my Solo DL, it...

You didn't specify the street/track split you expect to comprise your usage or the relative importance of each, but I can give you my 2 cents on the relative track merits of the two cars. I've driven...

20 HP is the figure I remember reading for the 996 ram air scoops, and I agree it's not a big deal for a street car that will never see track time. When I added an RS wing (with shims) to my old GT3...

mrhamamg - That's a very good pic and thanks for posting. Is your wing set to the flat position in that pic, or do you have some rake dialed in?

Rear visibility on winged 991.2

I'm helping a friend spec a 991.2 GT3 allocation. He plans to use it as a DD, and is contemplating the choice between Touring and non-Touring. While he prefers the look of the winged version, he's...

FYI, I bought a set of R7's in 225F and 285R, to get close to the F/R balance of the MPSC tires that were OEM on the car. The 245F might have been nice to tame understeer in the really slow, high-G...

Trofeo R or Hoosier R7?

I'd like to buy a set of tires for DE-only use. Previous tires were BFG R1 in 225 F/285 R sizes and I loved them. BFG no longer offers this size combo.

For those that have tried both or have some...

Eduardo, I enjoyed reading your story about this 914. How close to Birch green is Ravenna green? I think it's a great color for the 914 shape, in addition to improving visibility for all those cell...

Nice driving!

What size R7's are you running? Was the 991 on PS2's or PSC2's? If he was doing those lap times on PS2's in 100F conditions, that would be very impressive on its own.
