Holy crap! I just bought 12 X 1L of Mobil 1 15W50 full syn for 4.94$ a liter at Superstore (Winnipeg) 2 weeks ago. The 15-50 is still on at that price.

I have never had a problem with Laso water pumps and I have 168,000 miles on my 944. I have replaced the pump twice. I have never considered a rebuilt but I am not willing to buy OEM as my neighbor's...

I run Amsoil syn. in my transaxle and I like it. Unfortunately it is harder to get the Amsoil Syn motor oil here so I still use Mobil 1.

A few years ago, I drove approx. 1650 miles in 22 hours, Winnipeg to Vancouver. The drive through the Rockies was absolutely awesome, the gas mileage not so much... The 944 is one heck of a highway...
