I wouldn't touch it unless you live on a long dirt road. It's intended for normal driving and yours is anything but! (BTW, you're my kind of owner - just wish you had a turbo!)

It's the 'infinitely adjustable' system and is controlled by magnets. Mine does the same thing on the drivers door only and I just assumed they have weakened over time.
