is it possible to repurpose a smog pump as an internal fuel pump?

i'm assuming that since the air pump has similar flow to a stage 3 murf, it might also work well for fuel :D

i don't have one, but i thought the pump is what applies the opposing torque?? so I assume when dry it won't do much. not to mention all the sensors and whatnot you need.

I'd be happy if the sensor circuit was hooked up to a miles or engine runtime tracker. That way i'd know it was time to change the belt/piston
