Nice thing with LS engines is that they can be had for cheap on junkyards. So if your engine blows then you just buy a junkyard engine for $2000 (or spend $20k on a built one. Whatever you want).

So the RND rebuilds doesn't offer the 3.4 -> 3.6 conversion? I was under the impression this was a no brainer that had no impact on cost. Just benefits!

Slave cylinder leaking after extending it to max

Hi,

With my slave cylinder disconnected I accidentally pressed the clutch pedal all the way down, it goes much much deeper with the slave cylinder disconnected. And the rod extends way further.

Good point with the clutch, I will only replace if worn. However it doesn't feel perfect.

Regarding the IMS, why do you say it lasts forever? LN recommends replacing them every 5year/50k miles....

The fixed price for labour seems to be $1300. But parts are very pricey, if gears are damaged it quickly adds up!
