Glad you got it sorted. Who would have guessed it's the controller because you had mentioned the light came on after you damaged the speed sensor/harness. That's quite a coincidence.

Mk II coolant tanks are MUCH cheaper than Mk I's. They are $138 from Sunset porsche. $180 is standard retail price, which a shop will charge normally.

Since you have already replaced the battery, y-cable and even the starter, that sounds like a wiring issue to me. Ideally you want to do a voltage drop test between the battery post and the starter....

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. This air leak potential crossed my mine before when I studied the orange cap mod long time ago. I was convinced the construction was sturdy enough.

Any CEL or pending error codes? It's not normal for the O2 sensors to have low voltage constantly. The DME should add fuel to compensate. What are the fuel trims?
