Congratulations

The transport was the hardest part about getting my car. I had no weather issues but he couldn't actually get the car to my house because he couldn't fit the truck down my streets. He got as close as...

Other's have said it and I agree, unless there's a reason you like this one (hard to find color combo, option, etc.) or the price is very appealing, I'd move on.

If there is a reason you want this...

I would vote to drive it back

My only concern would be not being familiar with the roads in a new car. That said, like others have said, wait for a clear day and drive it home. Take it easy and don't push it. Yes, summer tires...

You should be good.

I would either have a trusted indy give the car a check or do it yourself to make sure nothing is off (when I got mine, it had a slight vibration caused by the motor mount - I honestly barely noticed...

If you don't mind me asking

Are you planning to service the IMS bearing? Once I get the car, I'd change the oil and send it off to BlackStone Labs.

My opinion is that you're going to love the car.

Congratulations

Congratulations on the win - I won my car on BaT in August 2017 and have no regrets. Good luck and keep us posted.

As a quick clean

I took upholstery cleaner, with the scrub brush. Pull out the seat-belt and hold it out, spray the upholstery cleaner on the belt, scrub the seat-belt with the brush, let dry in the sun or in the...

I bought one with 89K

Hey,

All I will say is that I was always dead set against getting a high mileage car. Last year I picked up an '05 with 89K and have no regrets. Car seems sorted (I don't want to jinx myself) and...

Have you made it yours yet?

I hope you wrote the check and the car is in your garage - you don't want her to start searching and realize how cheap she's letting this thing go.

I say buy it.

The repainted fender is not a deal breaker. It looks good and if not for that bit of spray on the gas cap, isn't noticeable. As for the IMS bearing, it has a relatively low failure rate on these - I...

At that price it's a steal. I would consider a PPI though

Just to make sure nothing is hiding. The price the car seems a little too good. Maybe she doesn't want to deal with people but considering the cost of a new motor, a PPI with bore scope wouldn't be...

I don't think they look that bad...

...but I'm not running out to get a set.

For the record, any time I price anything for my car, I spit coffee at the price of things.....

I'm going to tag along here - I've tried to clear mine but it looks dead? Should anything light up or "react" when I push any of the buttons? Any thoughts?

I just looked at mine and a few others on-line and don't see that bracket. I will say it looks OEM since's it's riveted in place but I can't imagine what that bracket would hold....I'm curious...

I was one of those guy's

I had three rules for buying cars -
1) Never buy a car through an auction.
2) Never buy a car site unseen
3) Never buy a car with more than 50,000 miles.

So last year I bought my 2005 997,...

I agree with the "Reduced Price" isn't showing up in the body of the ad.

I would adjust the ad so the reduced price is more visible.

I'm going to be honest with you, I personally think the reason it's not selling is the timing - heading into the winter, I'm thinking...

I'll give you my $0.02.

Last year I bought an '05 997, in Seal Grey - you're spot on about the color. It's a base spec car and I love it. Mine was a high mileage car (almost 90k) but in good shape but not something I have...

I was following the auction. It sounded like the Seller of the BaT car got the car through some debt collection process, so he wasn't the original owner. All he said was, the car ran when he got it...

For your own piece of mind, I would confirm that the warranty covers the IMS bearing and see what requirements they put in order to validate the warranty - ie, do they need to approve who services...
