I had an '04 40th anniversary purchased in '07 with 10k miles. At fifteen K the IMS failed. I was just a couple of blocks from the dealer, so I went right to the shop. As my engine wasn't yet...

I didn't have to replace the engine, but my 2004 40th Anniversary blew the intermediate shaft. It likely would have been a replacement engine issue, but I was literally at the dealer's when it blew...

My experience as a new Porsche owner.

Having lusted after a Porsche for most of my life I bought an '04 40th anniversary last August. The car had no sign of abuse and less that 11,000 miles on the clock. Five months later while sitting...

One way to determine the reliability or lack of it would be a comparison of the third-party warranty rates for Porsche vs. other similar( I know there's nothing like a Porsche!) cars. Say, like...

Additional mirror info

Once you have done the position the seat, engage reverse, and store, you should have the auto mirror-tilt. I think it dips a set amount without any user input. If you want to cancel just reset seat...

Check your manual.

If it is like mine this function linked with the seat position memory. If I remember correctly, you must have the car in reverse and then reset your seat position memory.

Mileage

You might find you mileage drop. There was madatory 10% ethanol from November-March where I used to live. I had a Taurus SHO back then and my mileage would drop from 22 to 18 like clockwork when...

Fair enough, this topic has been gone over repeatedly. However it re-emerges again every time yet another Porsche owner's car has yet another catastrophic engine failure.

Porsche could end this...

My experience as a new Porsche owner.

I bought my first Porsche last August, a pristine 40th Anniversary with just under 11,000 miles. Fortunately, it also had some of the new car warranty with an additional 2 years CPO beyond that....

Another thought

I have a 40th anniversary that I got last summer for less than the one you're looking at. It had only 10,000 miles and was nearly flawless. They (the 40ths) had a very nice option package with both...

I know I'm going to get flamed for this apostasy.

My dealer, Barrier Motors Seattle/Bellevue, offers free carwashes at their facility. It is a high tech automatic system that includes an undercarrage wash on the way in. You might check the better...

Please don't think I'm being in the slightest dismissive, not even a whiff of a flame, but have you posed this question, possibly without the references to your Porsche) on a BMW board? I spent...
