can be verified with a wood dowel in a spark plug hole, or if the engine is at TDC now without the flywheel just make a sharpie line from crank flange-> block.

since this is hypothetical...get a cam (or crank) shop to weld/grind the journals on the cams themselves to +0.5mm or as needed and simply enlarge the existing damaged bores...there's a lot of meat...

you'd need to run a 5 rib belt on the late alternator, or swap your crank pulley to a 6-rib.

early vs late brackets were changed...

Doesn't coolant flow from tank to turbo to engine water pump?
