First test drive with the new 3L Hybrid Stroker. All is good, no leaks! Only ran 5 psi but car feels solid, I really cannot tell much difference between it and the 95mm stroke. Car has a slightly...

My experience is that plenum size and runner length are the key variables. Unless you have very good CFD, which no one has, the rest just does not matter much and opinions are a dime a dozen. An...

No cross drill, not convinced it helps. Just a very basic stroked crank. Bearings looked great when I tore the motor down and the last crank was not cross drilled either.

Finally got my new crank! Everything looks good. 92 mm stroke, max runout 0.0005", and nitride treatment. We optimized the fillet radius. Used Mile High Crankshaft in Denver. Total cost for machining...

Listen, adjusting fuel pressure a bit is VERY common and not "bad advice". The DME has an FQS that allows essentially the same thing. I had already explained the issue and there is no problem with my...

My experience is that in summer months the tune runs a bit rich, I think due to a combination of conservative variables. I believe AIT fuel compensation being the main one. The curve should be fine....

Also, you did nitride treat the crank I believe. My build was worst case study, max stroke, almost non-existent fillet radius, and no nitriding. And still I would do it...

Reusing my block, had to overbore the sleeves 0.010" out to 4.040". Quite a bit of wear in the bores, on the order of 0.003" to 0.004". The rod ratio on the 95 mm stroke is 1.58 and it is a factor...

Another consideration - When you take the crank out to maximum stroke, you really cannot optimize the fillet radius. The more I look at the 94.7mm stroke, the more I think it is better to back off a...

Thanks Tom. Yep, no regrets :) My over confidence in the crank is a lesson learned. Rebuilt motor will be 92 mm stroke with nitride treatment and largest fillet radius possible. It will be a 3.0L...

I do not believe this is a torsional failure. Looks like a load based fracture that then propagated until final failure. Initial fractures looked to have started in the journal radius. Could have...

Ya, pretty fortunate on this one :) No nitriding. I am betting on some kind of micro fracture that propagated over the years. I will post pics once the crank is out and we should have a discussion :)
