The only area of the intake that is worth...

The only area of the intake that is worth insulating is between the bottom of the intake and the hot side of the turbo. Better to add an insulated heat shield there.

What do you mean by 'no boost'? Could be in 'limp home' mode which is reduced boost brought on by the DME/KLR sensing a fault. If you mean absolutely no boost then thats a whole different thing!

As a point of reference the national level stock class Boxster I crew chiefed for required constant wheel bearing changes. The Boxster / 911 bearings are not very strong!!!

Careful of the superglue - it will fog some clear plastics. test it first.
