I am not sure on the circuit board honestly, as I am not sure what he means by door lock mechanism exactly. My cable didn't seem to have any slack either so I am still trying to figure this out.

i think I am in the same boat now that the switch didnĺt fix it. Weird how it went from working just fine to not like it did. Oh well, the joys of owning a 911. Still worth it.

Sounds about right. Hard to believe an IMS failure would not damage a lot of stuff even if the bearing didn't come apart. Cheers brother.
