No I agree, that's totally true and I can attest to that actually being the case. My S2 is a lot of fun at low speed too and I've found I slowed down since I've owned it vs previous cars. I think we're in the same boat on this one.
I apologise though, I obviously totally misunderstood the Civic part - thought you were of the argument that it doesn't make enough power to be able to speed at all in the first place.. Didn't intend any offense.

It is just a habit of mine to compare my old 964 with a modern Civic to show just how far cars have come in 25 years. Back in the days the Porsche would have been a high end sports car whereas now the performance is similar to any run of the mill compact.
