What other RSR activities are happening in Montreal
Hey all !!
Been on the RSR web site and seems there is some stuff happening on the track and a monthly supper.
Any other GTG, cars and coffee, runs ???
What about non RSR events that are Porsche oriented or non-tuner?

'PCA Rennsport' is the name of the Facebook page for the Montreal area people. 'Rennsport PCA Porsche Ottawa Group' is the page for the Ottawa area folks. Lots of info there with regard to social events.

Didn't say DE and monthly supper are not interesting.
Will definitely try and make the next supper however DE Will be more difficult given the dates. It's definitely on my to do list.
It just seems there isn't much more going on and to paraphrase you ... once one starts on the Porsche adventure ... one just wants more

From where I'm sitting (first Porsche ever, picked-up a couple of weeks ago), I think its fair to say I'm starting my Porsche adventure.
Not looking to stir things cause I wouldn't want DareDevil to be right about the "Trouble" he's referring to

Please try to look past what reads as a persnickety response from our resident yoga practicing, healthy eating, philosopher king Joe Lapin. He may just be experiencing track withdrawal and put on his crabby pants when he woke up.
I do agree with him, however, on the track experience. I was exactly where your are currently one year ago. In order to avoid the Porsche douchebag stereotype and to understand the limits of the car, I signed up for one and only one event last May. It is very safe but exhilarating beyond words. I may have heard it referred to as mildly addictive. I don't think I have a problem but I have not missed an event since. I also now sign up to BMW events. I think I am also going to join another club (Groupe Virage) to get more seat time. Ok, maybe I have a small problem. ;-)
The driving is great and the people are great too. Even persnickety Joe Lapin ;-)

Made nothing of it really.
I read Joe Palin's piece on Rennsport and realize he's "all-in" including DE.
I totally realize the value of DE because I have never experienced in such obvious and raw fashion the kind of stuff one reads on the forum (disturbing car balance, car getting light out front, that rear end wiggle when PSM kicks in when coming out of a curve too agressive....) , so it's definitely on my to do list along with meeting people like Joe and others that can surely show me a few things.
And maybe, I was being a little persnickety myself (had to look that up haha)

I believe you understood my true intentions regarding DE, Joe.
Tracking can be true joy, confidence building, and for me, it acts as a metaphor for conscious living. I believe that all learning processes enhance the life experience, particularly as we age.
Object ownership/worship has it's limits, as it ultimately reflects insecurity. The use of a tool validates the conceptualization that is manifest in the object.
BTW, I enjoyed a true 'bucket list' adventure by visiting the Porsche Museum, and taking the factory tour. I wrote of this, and a few other essays to describe my joyous PCA conversion. it is still on the RSR site.
Search for 'Joe Lapin' to find the essays.
