Wet Sunday evening in Tremblant!
#2
Keep the Faith
For a week before the event I was enslaved by weather reports, hoping that the DE event would be dry, and I would be able to enjoy my new R compound tires. As several pals admitted, we all slept poorly Sunday night, anxious about the weather outlook. As I drove up to LCMT on Monday morning, at 5:30 am, the weather was atrocious. Rain and mist through Laval, a glimmer of hope around St-Jerome, black clouds and angst at St-Faustin.
We arrived at a very wet track, had a moist Driver's Meeting, yet by 9:30 the sun had come out, the track dried, and I was zooming on my new Nitto's.
I had a wonderful session sitting and yakking with my pals. but the greatest pleasure was 'playing' on the track.
After the 3rd session on Tues, it was ]ooking grim again, and I packed up, and drove home in some rain.
What a terrific event. Sincere thanks to Chris, Michael, Stan, and all of the devoted staff who make our DE's the envy of PCA!
