Rick, it was an AMAZING experience.
We've become friends over the years at Rennsport events, but it was great to hang out with the gang on your turf at such a historic facility. Yourself, Dave K., Jonathan K., Bill N., and Erik Lange by way of Many Good Vibrations. Nat and I really appreciated the hospitality.
Will be posting over on the DE forum to share a few more thoughts, but for now, suffice to say this is "must-do" track, and Cups is indeed a premier event.
For the Rennsport folks, let's start planning to attend this next year. It was REALLY THAT GOOD.
Cheers
Matt

Nice meeting you, Matt, I hope your Sumitomos held up for you! I managed a new PB in the Mini but in the process took 3 of the 4 RE71Rs right down to nothing.....still had grip though!
Off to Mosport Tuesday--hope to see you there or back at the Glen in the future....

Gary, it was a pleasure! You're evidently hauling
Met so many new friends - and put faces to old 'names' from Rennlist. Really, really pleased with how it turned out.
Missed my bro Erik, who incidentally got me into this in the first place, but that's a story for another day. We will live to fight again!
Cheers

I think your strategy of brining the Sumitomos was brilliant. They performed darned well and gave great audio feedback.
See you soon!

Congratulations!
I visited the Cups/Saucers with Scott Keller two years ago.
As a kid I read R&T voraciously, and the Glen was the US GP venue in the days of Phil Hill, Dan Gurney et al. It was a childhood dream come true!
I drove down alone in my C4S, and met Scott at the track. I was certainly the ONLY guy on street tires, and those guys were F A S T!!!!
Day i, learning the track, I developed a severely irritated left shoulder from all the passes I'd given! LOL
Day 2 was much faster, and I loved going up the Esses and flying over the Bus Stop. Bob had warned me of 'the blue bushes', and fortunately I avoided them.
I recall my instructor, Dan Doman demonstrating' the proper line. It was as though he extracted an extra 100 HP from my engine, and it taught me the mantra,
"It's not about more power (hardware), it's about technique!"
