Good Pre-owned AWD Vehicle for 20 year old student
Hi Folks,
The title says it all. If you have a good older car you’re trading in or selling, we’d rather buy from you than anyone else anywhere. Full on trust.
Budget is 10k, car will be used about 5000km a year. AWD and presentable. Montréal ken@kwy.ca
Thanks!

I know this is not what you are asking for but I will put it here anyways.
How about a 4-5 year old Honda Civic with snow tires? Something like this?

I am looking for a vehicle for my 16 yo. You can get one for a few grand more coming off a 3 year lease.

I'd look into a low mileage 36-48 month lease on a base Impreza or Mazda CX-3. If not AWD.. Elantra or Forte... You can get them pretty cheap. Being in the business that 10k range is on that cusp of might as well get something on lease. You get all the latest tech as well
My daily driver is a 19 Mini Cooper S on Studded hakkas and I live in Lachine where snow cleaning isnt priority... Zero issues. I get the AWD safety factor but ideally I guess you can use the savings for top of the line tires.

I second Greg on the Subaru suggestion ... my son had two , his last being a WRX and my own daily driver is an Impreza , which is way more economical than my F150 which i need due to the race car and trailer ...
All our Subies were fitted with Nokian tires and in Quebec , good Winter tires are a must. Those cars are little tanks in the snow !
Should you choose a Subaru , they solved the head gasket issues on the 2.5 engines from 2011 on
Cheers
Phil

Funny, I just bought a 2012 Outback today for just over $6K. My wife crashed our old Kia the other day. We were hoping to run it into the summer before buying a new car when the 2022 models come out, so I needed something to fill the gap. The Impreza hatchback is pretty nice, quite solid and AWD!
