Default Need a Porsche engine stand yoke

Hi friends, Does anyone have an engine yoke that I can borrow for a while?

Cheers, James

I presume this means you have found a new engine for your car

Well, yes, sort of. I’ve gone out on a limb and bought a 3.6 with issues. I only paid $1500 for it but it runs with a knocking noise apparently. I suspect cylinder scoring but will only know when I start tearing it down. If that is the problem, I’ll probably get it redone to 3.8 with nickies and pistons. I have an engine stand but not this yoke. I can do without it but it would be easier with.

The air-cooled yoke won't fit.

Get a 1000lbs engine stand and use the universal yoke from that. The bellhousing bolts will work

yes, I have the stand already. I don’t have any bolts but I guess regular M12 bolts should work.

You might need some washers. If you need the IMS took down the road you can borrow mine.
good deal on the engine even for 1500$ with issues it's worth more than that as a core

Luv your definition of "Tinkering" GLW the rebuild. Reach out to Andrew @ AGM (formerly WeTune) for advise on machining shops.
