Looking for an easy 1-day DE event
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a 1-day DE event this summer. I know that Rennsport has a couple of events planned at Circuit Mont-Tremblant, but they are all 2-day events...
Also, this would be to offer as a gift to someone who just bought his first p-car (991)...he has no experience on track and an event focused on fundamentals rather than all-out lapping would be good.
Thanks!

AFAIK the BMW Trillium events have already been sold out, plus there are a fair number of yahoos on the track and the track time is very limited. A DriveTeq event would be a MUCH better option for a beginner (or for that matter anyone else IMHO).
P.S. Sorry - just saw that Matt was suggesting an event at LCMT, not at CTMP. DriveTeq has two days at LCMT at the end of September - that one is a must and even better than the CTMP events (only two run groups - beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced), plus the food is to die for!

This sounds to me like a good candidate for the PCA DE, although 2 days, it is the BEST way to learn in a secure and fun environment...even if they attend one day!

+1 on the BMW Ottawa Club. The upcoming one is two day but IIRC there was a one day event earlier this season at Calabogie. Maybe they'll have one later. Calabogie does rent helmets but I was able to get a free loaner from another club member. Novice discount is modest: $50.
