PSM failure light: Code 4440, 4444, 800C due to change of momo steering wheel help

clockspring detent is not being engaged.
PSM failure light: Code 4440, 4444, 800C (steering sensor / airbag)
AND cannot engage sport button.
Question: What needs to be done to make the the replacement steering wheel and quick disconnect hub compatible with the car? I have no problem having a separate dash mounted horn button but do want the sport button to be functional and not throw a code.
