Let's give this a try
Astounding Derek and John, this is incredible
Derek, any idea if it would be possible to control the size of the video?
Also, it's the second time that my Internet Explorer crashes while opening a page with an embeded video, just for your info.

Hey Stephane! It's pretty cool, isn't it!
At the moment it is not possible to control the size.
Which version of internet exploder are you useing?

It is really, really great, will be very usefull.
I'm running IE 6 but you know me, everything is up to date and Spyware/Virus free, don't bother about it, just mentioning it in case it happens to others.
Why does the applet require to click twice on it to start? Is it only me or it does the same thing to you?

It's actually a security feature. You need to click it for it to run the applet, and then click it again to start the movie.
It prevents hackers embedding malicious flash files in web pages. You would have to click them in order to activate them.
This is true for every flash object.

By the way, does your browser crash if you view the videos directly on Rennpository or does it only crash when you view the embedded videos on Rennlist? I ask because we are using a different flash player on Rennlist than on Rennpository.

Ok, makes a lot of sense
My IE does not crashes on rennpository no, and on here it doesn't crash everytime, it did it twice only.

Okay I'm back.
<note to self> Don't try to confirm a crash while you reply is still sitting in the browser </note to self off>
Anyways
Stephane most likely the problem your having, and I know this because I know the Canadian/Eyetalian type uses the same kind of craplet as youtube, is that you were looking to try it out. So you found a video on Rennpository (and Derek you got to re-think that name, I witheld re-naming it because... I don't know why, I must be getting soft in my old age) so anyways you found a video, played it and said, that's cool, let's try out that Rennlist thingie. So you came here with the ID, posted the link, and tried to play it in Rennlist. Problem is it was still playing in the background on Rennpository. The craplet can't play two videos at once so it crashed.
The other times the video had already ended when you played it here, so it didn't crash.
So it's not really a bug per-se. Though the writer of the craplet should have made it if one trys to open it should close the other one, or some such.
Easy enough to confirm. Play a video and hit ctrl-n new window opens up and it'll crash.
Ask me how I know.

Actually, the new name you were thinking of has been suggest many times privately Maybe you’re just getting slow in your old age?
Having said that, the new site will be, simply, "Rennpo".
Okay now…
Firstly, there are two separate applets. One on Rennpo, and one on Rennlist.
Secondly, opening up many of the same applets at one time should not crash the browser. I have the same movie playing on Rennpo as Rennlist at this moment and it’s not crashing.
See John’s post here: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/322496-new-feature-test.html
Try playing all the movies at once. Report back.

YEah because Rennpo doesn't lend itself to the addition of a second o
YEah but are you using IE Exploder?
But yes I was able to play multiple movies on that link. Doens't change anything, just means the problem doesn't arise in the same winder.
Open up a Rennpoo window, play video (longish one prefered) click ctrl-n and tell me what happens.
Don't talk to me about finding bugs you little whipersnapper.

6.0
I'll try latest on the lappie.
7.0 took it's sweet time on the second window, but did play them both.
I'd test more here but I'm trying to research some **** and got to get back to editing.

Hmmm
Not happening now.
Maybe it's more of an issue of the drive then.

I thought you found the craplets to download somewhere.
Just went to try you tube again. Scheduled downtime.
ON the positive side I've got an average 97ms round trip average to London and back. Think I'm close to the backbone.
