What's the best kept secret in London
Hey UK,
My wife and I are heading to London to see the Top Gear Live show in November and are wondering what's the best thing we can do? You know aside from the usual tourist places?
Many regards,
Sean

I don't know how sports loving you are and I haven't had chance to check availbility but you could consider taking in a soccer match at Chelsea - just do a search on the web for Chelsea F.C. You can see the best team in the land play our national game, or if that doesn't appeal do a search for shows on in the west end. A lot of the more popular shows may already be booked up but you may get lucky.

It was amazing. My wife sprung for the VIP passes which took us past the platinum lounge into the guarded VIP area - the execs from Virgin, BBC and other corps were there. We were loaded up with 4 star food and all the beverages we could drink.
The cars in the MPH show were outstanding - everything from Astons, Ferraris, Lambos, Zondas, Rolls Royces, Veyrons - you name it - it was there.
The Top Gear show was obviously designed to feature the rediculous. There was a girl with flame throwing whips fighting off two 911s which burst into flames; the New Stig and his origins were revealed and he drove a Ferrari around the stage at silly speeds - rescued a girl and outran the robot (think Terminator meets Robocop) driven cars; they shot down a helicopter (fake one, but still); had a race with the 3 hosts driving cars all powered by kitchen appliances, man on dirt bike vs bulldozer construction machine and on and on.
Next year is going to be more interactive and better according to our concierge.

Sorry guys - haven't been online for a while. For Hotelling, London is pricey. We spent very little time in our room. That said - go to the Savoy's cocktail bar for a drink. Dress up. London is so full of things to see - Shopping at Harrods is pretty cool. They have everything there. If they don't have it, their personal shoppers will get it for you (we didn't take advantage of this).
Top Gear Live is annual. The TGL this year was massively upgraded from when we saw it.
