just thought I'd post a bit of good news for a change. lol

My 944 had 5 bars of oil pressure 6 years ago and I have noticed a gradual decrease over the years until last week I was alarmed to see she only registered 2.5 bars from cold dropping to 1.5 on idle hot eek

I had her booked into the garage for a change of all lubricants and fluids and was amazed to find her back at a full 5 bars again cold

I had assumed that over the past 72,000 miles that the pump had wornout and the pressure relief valve needed replacing etc but on checking it had been 30,000 miles since her last oil change !jeez

before you all flame me for irresponsible behaviour quoting your service book recommendations in my defence I have to say I have recently been driving 750 to 1000 miles a week with my new job and you all know how 6-8 weeks can fly by.

So the moral of the story is if you have low oil pressure try a new filter and oil change first before looking elsewhere you may be pleasnatly surprised as I was
