Drink down south? Spring 2004?
Hi Everyone,
I thought I would post a new post as that last one was getting a little old. The weather is getting better so how about that drink? I can't remember the name but the one we went to last time near maple Cross (J17 of M25) was pretty convenient and had a nice roomy car park. Pub wasn't too bad either!
How about late March?
Cheers,
David

Hi Caveman,
I would be up for a meet.
The pub near Maples Cross that we meet at last time by the lock - burnt down . I don't know if it has been rebuilt yet!
Tito.

Damn!
How inconsiderate of them...
Does anyone have any ideas for an alternative? It has to have easy access to the M25/M40/M4 triangle, have a large (hopefully) deserted car park and no mindless thugs. Anyone?
Cheers,
David

I'm up for meeting for drinks.
As an alternative, why don't we involve a drive as well? If anyone's up for a Saturday, PCGB club HQ have an open saturday each month. Next one is on 4 April. I went along to the last one, had a brilliant drive up the A roads all the way to Moreton in Marsh. If you go early morning, no traffic, the Cotswold roads are great fun. Stop and Club HQ, take a look around, club shop open too, then maybe a drink at a nice pub and come back.
Cheers
Ajit.

I can't make the PCGB trip this time (too close to baby's arrival) but am still keen for that drink. Slight problem though as the builders have blocked my car in with a skip! So not for the next couple of weekends!

Hope you and the family are doing well. Just a few more miles and the new Boxster S will have completed the 'running in' distance! It is very different to the Turbo but it is enjoyable to drive.

I have trying to think of a venue but so far the only one I thought of was the Bird in Hand (www.birdinhand.co.uk) on the A4 outside Maidenhead where the Porsche Club meet. Don't know what it is like.
