Default Out of state trade tax saving question

I am a Florida resident. If I were to trade in one of my cars for say 50k on a car that cost 100k in Texas, then would I have to pay tax on 50k to register the car in Florida? I know for deals within the state there is no issue, but wanted to confirm if this would also hold true or how to get trade credit. Thank you.

You are correct as long as you have the purchase order reflecting the trade and the trade-in amount.
