Works fine here on Chrome. Clicking the post you have starting with "Tuesday" brought me to post 781 of that thread.

It works fine when running incognito as well -- which disables all my addons, cookies, login, everything.

I fired up Firefox and it works perfectly fine there, too. I don't use Firefox so it's a blank setup.

Looking at the URL being generated by the search results, as well as the network console, the link you are clicking will at the very least bring you to the correct page that the post is on (in this case, 53). The #post19707448 at the end is an anchor which will scroll your browser to the appropriate post.

You are, for some reason, being brought to the 52nd page. Post number 19707448 does not exist on that page, which is why it keeps you at the top of it.

If you look at the URL you are being sent to, it should have `-53.html` at the end of it. Does it have `-52.html` instead? See below for the part of the URL in question:

@Robb M. only thing I can think of here is he has infinite scrolling enabled and is trying to direct-link to the first post of a new page with the posts-per-page setting probably on the default of.. 15? 20?

It's also the very first post on that new page, and the thread itself has 3 deleted posts, which is likely key to it -- the deleted post thing caused some weird behavior not unlike this some time ago.

well, your 53 could very well be the members' 52 as they don't see deleted posts. this is an odd issue, suggest you delete your cookies and log in again @tigerhonaker

deleted posts don't actually increment post counts in threads for us, it just smashes them all up as placeholders. 53 is 53 -- testing incog (so, as a public user) it's still page 53. it also works A-OK there... so yeah, probably not an issue with the forum software overall.

hrmmm, perhaps I am conflating things with the pagination issue that involves deleted posts!

Okay I have just completed doing 3-screenshots in the hopes you will finally see exactly what is happening.

No Link anymore will work to take me to the exact post it's suppose to.

Now, text is to me Very-very difficult to describe to you or anyone what's not happening that wasn't before.
And no changes of any kind have been added to this computer.
I'm the only user.
As you will see and read in one of the screenshots I am a Simple-End-User.
I don't change anything in this computer ever.

Lastly, Rennlist was working perfect until I saw where the software has been changed to BOLD highlight the following.

I'm mentioning that as when the Direct-Link wouldn't any-longer work correctly I saw where the BOLD lettering had been added.

Whatever has happened buddy is not because I have changed something with this computer.
Honestly, I don't change anything simply because I'm Scared I'd just maybe mess something up.

Look and read slowing the following 3-Screenshots as I really think once you do it will be clear what's taking place on this end.
I use AOL for E-Mails and I use Google Chrome for all internet sites including Rennlist.com
I'd really appreciate the Help and if possible a simple phone call if possible to tell and walk me through what to do.

I just Deleted my 3rd screenshot as it contained my personal phone contact information.
I have given it some additional thought and decided it served No-Purpose to leave that Personal-Contact-Information for all to see.

i blame Firefox, we didn't change anything and there would be more people with the same issue if we had.

Okay, I was hoping to get assistance from tech support on here but okay.

I'll make a call to Best Buy, "Geek-Squad" and have them come in person and see if they can figure out what's going on ?

See if the behavior persists in a firefox private window (ctrl+shift+P), or in Chrome, or in Microsoft Edge.

I cannot reproduce this behavior.

Here is an Up-Date ...............
I tried sending multiple E-Mails to people I know as testing to see if the link I sent would take them to the right Post?
It FAILED every-time and Never took any one of them to the correct Post.
So ......................
I went in person to local Best Buy and set-up appointment for the "Geek Squad" Tech, Brittan, to come today to find out why the Direct-Link/Links No-Longer-Work-Correctly.

I just Copied & Pasted below when I 1st found out my Direct-Links No-Longer took a person to the correct post.
If you click on the below that says, We drove to Huntsville, Alabama to check out the cotton fields in blue
It should take you straight to that Post but it doesn't !!!

I just tried it and it takes you to Post 766 !!!
Definitely not the right Post.

Well Cathy (Wife) and I drove down last Saturday to see those White-Cotton-Balls for the last time this year.
We found one Giant field with Acres and acres of...
