Stalling/engine stopping

Just bought my first Porsche at 71 yrs. An '03 Carrera, I have 4-5 times had the car stall (like running out of gas), then the engine quits. I stop and within a count of 1-5, it will start and run fine. 2 highly recommended techs ran the diagnostic for Codes, found nothing, and couldn't fix because they have not seen it stop? Anyone have this malady and able to fix it? Thanks for your replies.

Brian, post in the 996 forum, not here, and you may get some assistance.

Curious why post in this forum named 'Forum Glitches', instead of the appropriate model tech forum?

We had renamed this forum a few times as new visitors were posting tech questions here. Looks like it doesn't matter what this forum is named?

Like I said, just curious - not a slam against Brian, just trying to figure that out.

My guess is that it is people who are not very familiar with using forum sites. They scroll down the list, see "Rennlist Help," and figure since they need help, it is the place to post. Brian says he is 71, so may not be very forum savvy.

It would seem that is a good explanation Mike, but this forum does not contain the word 'Help' for that very reason.

It's still a head scratcher why someone would post a technical question in this forum named 'Rennlist Forum Glitches'. Maybe if we removed the word 'Rennlist'?

Well, the subforum doesn't say "help", but the general top-level category is "Rennlist Discussion Forums > Rennnlist Help and Announcement Forums."

What I find is odder is when people post in the wrong car model subforum, like the recent 944 guy that posted in the 996 forum.
