It's working for me.

Are you using the 'Thread Tools' dropdown at the top of the thread?

Doug,

It's working fine for me. Maybe it's a cache issue?

Mark - doubt it - I don't think different browsers share caches do they ? Have now tried in 4 different browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari) on Windows and IOS Safari (the last obviously on a different computer - tablet actually) with identical results. Do you have the ability to check from a non-moderator account if that makes a difference?

I just subscribed to this thread using the subscribe tool. Worked fine using IOS on an iPad. Full site, not the mobile one.

I have been finding the threads seem to load slow as I scroll down through through them. Tried other forums and they work fine. I never noticed this before on here.

worked on THIS thread for me too. What it doesn't work on is the thread I wanted to subscribe to

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-1995...-993-dash.html

why it is thread dependent I'll leave to the brain wizards here

Yep, I get the same warning message when I try to subscribe to that thread.

So it's not you.

OK, I'm guessing that because the thread is quite old (from 2007) that it was never indexed properly, resulting in the error message.

Perhaps a mod could make a copy of that thread and place it into the 993 DIY forum for easier locating in the future.

Doug,

Right, of course. Couldn't be a cache issue from two browsers.

Threads in the DIY section are not open for replies, so, since there is no ability to add content, there's no reason for a thread subscription.

Great idea, Randy, but that didn't work (and the thread is already in the 993 DIY forum). I tried copying it to the 993 forum, and it seemed to work, but it didn't actually copy a new thread.

Doug, I can certainly bump up the two threads that geolab created. Will that suffice? If not, I can put in a request to have the DIY thread moved to the 993 forum, but that seems to be triple redundancy since two other threads on the matter already exist. Let me know how I can help.

thanks for your help - I use subscriptions as much for specialized bookmarking as I do for notification of new posts. Putting that thread in the 993 forum worked a treat
