Replying to old for sale ads...
Mods, Please figure out a way to mark cars sold in the Classified section, especially in the Vehicles classifieds. There are tons of old ads that are replied to by relative unknowns here on RL with either no or an extremely low post count. Most appear to be replying to multiple ads one after the other and sound like dealers (not registered as sponsors) and flippers. It's more of an annoyance than anything else but it has gotten progressively worse since the purchase and the deployment of autopilot by IB. Many other forums require a minimum post count or other such credential to post a for sale ad (used to have to be a member here to do so). Back me up here guys. You know this pisses you off too...

I can probably post 10 ads that have been resurrected lately that clearly say "car has been sold' yet some genius with a post count of 6 in 7 years says "I'm local and can buy your car". It's almost as bad as eBay. The whole classified section needs to be redone. The last update was at a time when a PDK didn't exist. John D built an awesome site but nothing Porsche-centric has been added or maintained since IB bought him out. It's time to stop with the excuses, especially those of us who pay to be members...

+100% I have the same "complaint." I haven't logged in in months and this issue is so annoying to me when searching for a car to purchase I logged in just to +1. To RacingJunkie : "Your beef should be with the posters who make the ad that never update the vehicle is sold." Of course you are 100% correct, but the posters obviously don't give a damn and it's impossible to take up our beef with a poster who has disappeared. Their ad should be deleted or classified in some way so it doesn't show up at the top of the for sale section when the car was sold two years ago!
