various cheeses

I've been wondering about this for a while. Why are the cayman/boxster forums split into: 987-981 (includes both cayman & boxster), and Cayman/Cayman S (all generations), and 718?

Wouldn't it make more sense to divide it into separate 987, 981, and 718 forums? Too big of a pain in the *** maybe?
