Default 2011 Cayman base model, horn stuck on, please help.

Just purchased the Caman yesterday. The car has less than 4000 miles on it. Owned by a 74 year old retired Dentist. The car is immaculate, never been in the rain. Showroom condition, and absolutely flawless. All except the horn. The very first time we drove it around the block, and used the horn once. It stayed on until we turned the ignition off. Waited a minute and the horn came on as soon as we started the car. When the ignition was on the horn was on. Started and killed the ignition 3 times. Called the local Porsche service dept and asked for assistance. They said, "have it towed to them". The fix cost? Several hundred dollars. The service manager Greg said welcome to the world of Porsche. Following Greg's suggestion is of course our very last resort. We proceed to finish our ride around the block and started to drive the car home with the horn blasting away, and then it suddenly stopped sounding. Continued home, into the garage no problem. Looked here online. Someone else suggested, remove the horn fuse. Which fuse is it and exactly what is the location of it? B3? We can remove fuse B3, and the horn will be disconnected to the power? They say the problem is under the steering wheel, and we must remove the air bag. The horn bushings might be flimsy, and can no longer support the weight of the air bag. The airbag weight causes the bushings to collapse, thus, the horn stays on. So, black silicone can be applied around each bushing, to bolster the strength and keep the horn assembly from collapse and making contact. This horn issue is said to be a common problem with older Porsches? So, the tricky part is removing the air bag assembly? Then making sure it is all put back together properly so the horn works right and the airbag warning light is off on the dash. We just went thru it here in words, and think we understand the DIY process. Is this a do it yourself type fix, or do you recommend we take a beating at the shop. Is it legal to drive the Cayman when the horn fuse is removed? Please reply, Will
