I've had the free app Norton Ad Block installed for 3 weeks now (iOS, Safari) and have had zero pop ups.

Its happened to me about 10 times tonight. Once while reading this thread. I actually bought a membership because I thought it would get it to stop.

Definitely still a problem on Android and chrome. I just tried what post 87 said, and we'll see how that goes...
I previously stopped using rennlist because it was such a resource hog anyways. I can use Pelican parts and other forms on my work computer all day long, but rennlist loads extremely slow and used to freeze things up. It's a little bit better now but still not great.

Mine hasn't done it a single time since implementing the Post #87 fix and it used to do it every thread I opened. You should ge good now but post back the results.

I’m still experiencing this. How sad.

Was the root cause fixed?

Did you implement the popup block setting from post 87. Mine has never done it since.

What version of Chrome (and platform) is the mitigation setting in? I don’t seem to be able to find it.

Just copy the line below and paste it into your Chrome browser, then the first option for framebusting, click the drop down box and select "enable". Chrome will need to restart, but then you should be good.

chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture

The root cause is poor advertisers, however we have taken extreme steps to prevent this from occurring and other than your post, I have not heard of people experiencing it lately. Could you please elaborate on your setup, browser, OS and if possible provide screenshots of the ads please?

cheers,
robb

On my pixel, chome gets hijacked by ads to download a cleaning app. Happens all the time. Very sad security I must say.

It’s happening over an over on my iPhone 8. It’s enough to make the site unusabe.
