Any one from Munich and/or Stuttgart??
 

I am going to Munich on April for a conference and arranged a visit to the Stuttgart factory the same week.

My plans are:
Spain – Munich on Tuesday 15th. The conference is at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.
Munich – Stuttgart on Friday 18th. Will rent a car in Munich and travel to Stuttgart. Have the visit at 09:50 am.
Stuttgart – Spain on Friday afternoon.

My questions are:
A relation of hotels located in a nice zone of the city so I can walk around if I have some free time.
Logical ways of transport:
Airport – hotel.
Hotel Trade Fair Centre.
Idea is to rent the car at the hotel, drive to Stuttgart, visit the factory, and then drive to Stuttgart airport to drop the car. Is this logical?
Some restaurants, place to visit, other inputs, ….
