Hello Fellow Porsche Owners

I recently bought a 2007 Cayenne S here in Wiesbaden with only 120,000 kilometers on it. It's in good shape and the local dealer is assisting with some issues to ensure that it is in excellent condition for my everyday driving. I wanted to know if you all are able to do your own work on your Porsches or if everyone always bring them to the dealership?

Dealership. Where are you, PZ Mainz or PZ Wiesbaden?

Uncle Jimmy 10-20-2017 07:45 PM

I'm in Wiesbaden. My Cayenne is currently at Porsche Zentrum Wiesbaden getting a check up. I just don't foresee taking it back to them to be ripped off for the service. If compatible, I can get all of the service parts from the US at a reasonable price and take it to the local military base and do the work myself for a fraction of the cost. Also, I was wondering if the service computer that is available to get for the US model is compatible with the my German Spec Cayenne.

Hey Jimmy, I am also a customer in Wiesbaden and in Frankfurt. I prefer Frankfurt though. They will pick up your car and return it to you. I would not do the service somewhere else since you will lose your Porsche Approved guarantee.

RickIrons, thank you. I'll check out the one in Frankfurt. I know where it is on Hanauerlandstrasse. I ordered some basic service parts from the US. They should fit since all Cayennes were born in Leipzig.

I would not let a single person on base work on your car... it's not an '88 mustang.

Go to the PZ in Oberursel. Very nice team, smaller PZ, more personal. And I can give you some ideas about fantastic backcountry roads...
