Default Tool rental 964 front camber adjust

Anyone in the local area have a special tool to adjust alignment in 964. The tool is about 100 usd and I don't mind buying. But would prefer to set and forget. Replaced my stock boge coil overs with bilsteins

for a one shot deal you may be better off just having it done professionally and forget about it . May cost you more but at least its done and you don't have another tool you have to store.

agree that the tool is $75 usd and may cost that much to get it done at Gtek but then i'd have the tool and know how to do it... and can then lend it out... haha

can it be adjusted without? a strong pair of vice grips??

The Porsche tool is just sorta like an eccentric socket that goes over the upper bolt and you turn it to desired camber setting. It beats having to either raise the car slightly or whacking the tire with your hand to adjust the camber.

Advice.. those bolts should be changed each time. Porsche claims.. Torque on them is 100ftlbs I believe.. Might be a good idea to loosen them up with the wheels off the car.

thanks gregster. i've ordered the tool and will order spare nuts. one per side? i will be on an alignment rack that can raise and lower the car. expect to need to heat them up as i've not done an alignment in 8 years...
