Cheating on my 911 with a Cayman R
Made an impulse buy the other day on a 2012 Cayman R.
Always been a loyal 911 guy, but recently had an opportunity to pick up a Cayman R which hopefully will be used more for track days. Got to say the feel of the Cayman is a whole new experience.
On to the interesting stuff, mods....
Just having IPD/82mm package installed (part of purchase agreement of car)
Was told the IPD plus headers and 200 cell cats make to easiest untapped horsepower.
Since I feel the PSE still is too quiet for me, the headers and cats make sense.
Anyone have experience with this?
Can anyone suggest headers and cats that are reasonably priced that perform?
I figure that I better go ***** deep now before my wife finds out I bought the car.....
Thanks in advance...

Beautiful car and congratulations! I just responded to your PM about the headers, I think we will be able to keep you off of the radar of the wife for at least a little longer, haha!
Best,
Best,

nice find and purchase. Love my Spyder as well (maybe more than my old 911).....see link below plenty of guys on planet 9 getting the hp up to 911 factory numbers and then some. 12.2@113mph is quick.

Thanks guys,
Just ordered headers and 200 cell cats from Evan at Soul Performance. Can't wait to hit track in it and learn how to drive it. Hoping to go to Toronto Motorsports in Cayuga next week...

Congrats! This is an the excellent car. I am curious if it has carbon fibre sport seats as well?
Definitely get the side decals done, if you want to know where to get them just ask.
If you want to improve the sound, I would suggest Carnewal GT mod to your stock mufflers. I am getting this done on my Cayman soon (the mufflers are currently on their way from Washington While there is not much hp gained from this mod, the sound is much improved. And it only costs $650+shipping.
If this car is going to be a track only weapon, go for race exhaust - catless all the way and loud as hell! On the other hand, I believe if kept stock, this car will appreciate in value so you may want to think about that before modding it too much

picking up my new headers and sport cats tomorrow, can't wait to get installed. Then I better ease up for a bit before wifey finds out. Praying to get out to Cayuga next week and start learning.....
