Default rear hatch turbo emblem

how is the turbo emblem attached to the hatch?
is it double side tape or plastic plugs?
does anyone know?

It is double-sided tape.

they are usually removed with fishing line then the residual glue is removed and its buffed.

997s don't have a "hatch" Vic. This is a technical forum, get the terminology right...engine cover

If you don't care about breaking it, you can just get a finger under a corner and pull these off. I have no idea how you'd ever cut adhesive to make it useful again anyway.
