Hagerty for me as well. 40k value $500 roughly per year.

But I hear Vintage has better rates as long as your record is clean as a whistle (mine is not).

And they are Canadian.

Are everyone's restrictions pretty much the same? I like to take my cars to the office occasionally.... and seems like that's a big no no.

Interesting...Dalton Timmons is telling me that effective in 2017, Hagarty requires a regular vehicle to be insured before they will insure a collector vehicle.

I am restricted to 5000 km a year and not to be used as a daily driver. They are fine with the occasional time it's taken to work as long as its not all the time.

Thanks guys...just called Hagarty directly. They quoted $1,477 per year with an agreed value of $92,500. That seems high, no?

Yes, that's more than double what I'm paying (I think $5-600, insured for 70 or 75k).

Interestingly, they tell you over the phone all the restrictions, not to work, not to the track, etc. but the policy says none of that (at least, mine doesn't) so they can't really enforce any of that.

Based on their online quote, its quite a bit more expensive than my current standard insurance (albeit it is an agreed value...), not including savings when coverage suspended for winter.

Do they allow coverage to be reduced over the winter when car is in storage?

$1,372 plus 65 for Hagarty plus (towing etc.) and 40 "Hagarty fee" admin charge.

Clean record...

try vintage insurance
better company, cheaper, and will not have the same annual increases in the next few years that Haggerty does.
pm me with phone number if anyone wants to discuss. disclosure: I am an appraiser registered with www.trustpave.org as well as ministry of finance for (HST).
I also negotiate fair settlement for total losses with the insurance companies.
