Default minor winshield crack/scruff

hey guys,

A rock hit windshield on the highway.. got a little scruff (not deep at all), more cosmetic than anything on the winshield.. anyone can recommend a product to fix/remove it? Seen tons of videos on youtube but rather get my source info from here..

It's very minor and cannot feel any crack ..

The Permatex kit sold at CT is good. Just follow the directions or look it up on youtube. If you are not sure of your abilities, take it to the local glass shop and they can fox it for around $50.

^^ thx for the info... I've heard at Canadian Tire, there's a vendor in the parking lot that does windshield repairs? Might give them a try unless caution otherwise.

Do it sooner, than later, before a potential crack spreads. And try to stay away from water and freezing temps.

I found 5 of us that had chips at my office and approached the guy at Canadian Tire in Scarborough.

He came to our parking lot and did all 5 at a reduced rate.

Only will work on chips, not cracks.

He did a good job.

I had a chip in the windshield and went to Speedy Glass on Kipling. They suggested that I call my insurance company from the store and were paid directly so I wasn't out of pocket. My insurance company didn't charge me a deductible or count it as a claim.

I've used the kit at Canadian Tire twice with great results.
