Get into your dealer now!
I know when the GT4 came out there were lists for miles however tons of cancellations. Same with the 991.1 GT3...more demand than actual purchases at the end of the day.
Just get on the list, try to beg for Paint to Sample and Euro delivery like a friend did and you'll probably get one.

The manual will sell better in North America that Europe I think. I have a lot of mates who track the GT3 and RS over there and the demand for the PDK will handily outstrip the manual. Its sort of ironic that demand for manuals in Germany has tanked.
I do not plan on the Gen 2 RS if there is one, ( Not clear if there will be the GT2RS only, which is also not in plan). I will hang onto the current two and I expect I will add a 992RS when it shows up and three is more than enough for me., and probably will go PDK on that too. I can amuse myself with the 7.1RS when I feel like a manual.......
As for the 911R it will continue to have some premium, ( like the 911 ClubSport), but I think it will come down from the silly prices now. In general I have no enthusiasm for the massive premiums and will never pay more than list.
I put my name down very early if I want a car and happily put down a deposit. I don't think there is any unfairness involved, it just that people come in late to the party and are then upset if they do not get a car. If I had wanted an Gen 2 I would have told the dealer around when I picked up the Gen 1 and put down a deposit at the very earliest moment I could.

I agree. It isn't unfair. But, you know there is gonna be some dude that bought a couple of new cars from Porsche recently that feels entitled, and should probably get what he wants! Lol
