Default Techart PDK Paddles

Has anybody here ordered Techart PDK paddles? The price seems steep at US$800 for just the plain silver ones... but I'm wondering if anybody here ordered them or tried them? What are they like quality wise?

Paddle shifters on the sport wheel work perfectly. I kept shifting while turning during my first test drive with the standard thumb buttons. Paddles moved to the top of my 'must have' list.

Thing is... if you swap the steering wheel you lose the radio/PCM/phone controls.

Did you switch to another OEM wheel with paddles? Or did you add paddles to your multifunction wheel?

My car came with the factory option sport wheel w/paddle shifters selected by the original owner. Just saying the paddles are much more user friendly. I'd even give up on a multi function wheel for them.

Would this be an easy swap if it came from another PDK car? Does it involve the entire steering wheel and airbag?

I looked at the instructions and it looks like you literally replaced the "button shifters" and then have to switch some wires in the steering wheel so it recognizes a left side pull as a downshift.

there is a DIY on rennlist that details how to do this on the standard wheel, push forward does nothing, pull back is down/up the same as the paddle shift wheel..
