Germanparts.ca has been great for my Cayman S and 328. They offer both OEM (Textar, Zimmerman) and aftermarket parts at really good prices. Their shipping is also quite quick here in the GTA; I usually receive my order the next day.

My usual gotos are:

Brad at Porsche of London - they are surprisingly competitive on some stuff and out to lunch on others

autopartsway.ca - I have had good luck with them but I understand others have had issues

Mike my local wrench - he is quite often the cheapest and an all around great guy to deal with

Paragon Products - not always the cheapest but they have a great catalog of some harder to get bits especially for 944's. Also very knowledgeable and great to deal with.

I find the dealers ridiculously expensive for parts.
I can see 993 guys using oe Porsche only parts to try and protect the value of the car but for me it's not worth it for consumables like brakes
I use autohausaz and sometimes the dealer in Oregon sun something.

x2 Germanparts.ca
Fair pricing, OEM manufacturer.
Put zimmerman rotor on my X5.
Been two years with reasonable wear and no significant rust issues.
For my needs, OEM is fine for me. BMW was 26oo installed+tax, at the dealer.
845 tax in on my desk. That is a lot of beer?

okay here is my summary as I just ordered 2 rotors.

Zimmerman coated rotors at autopartsway. 245.49 CAD

Zimmerman coated rotors Autohaus.az 113.32 CAD

I will admit the autopartsway one is delivered to my door but if there is anything wrong these people are a total nightmare to deal with.
the Autohaus one is delivered to my hotel in florida as im there on business and will just carry them home tax free.

But still, the difference is hard to ignore.

Auto Partsway just re sells from WorldPac. All their parts have WorldPac tags on them. When I sell jobs to clients I match AutoPartsWay pricing. This way everyone is happy.. I make a bit of money on the parts, client pays online pricing and I get a job in the end/ more work down the line. People aren't stupid with Quotes, they compare online vs what garages charge. So I can either match online or lose out all together.

I have some BMW owners that live in Burlington and even Boston that come up and see me. Win, Win for them. I bill in CDN, they pay in USD. I had an X5 client get quoted 2400$ for a front brake job, trans fluid change and some other bits in Vermont.

ECS Tuning is great if you live in USA as well.

A few years ago I came back from a trip to Vegas with only one carry-on luggage containing parts for my DD, including two wheel hub/bearings, water pump, tensioner, timing & serpentine belts, and a replacement laptop battery.

The Park&Fly driver could not believe how heavy the innocent looking luggage was when she went to pick it up for me. :lmao:

In the winter, I fly back and forth about 4-5 times. I always carry about $100 less than the allowed monetary value in car parts with me. With a few cars, the preventative maintenance and the lower cost of parts saves a whole bunch... and considering I do most of my own labour, it really saves.
