Default Sub $30k 911?

Looking for some general advice on the likelihood of picking up a well cared for 911 (coupe vs convertible) in the sub $30k price range. A general search turns up a truck load of 996 cab's in this price point however coupe's seem fewer and farther between. By way of background I used to have an 01' Boxster that I sold a few years ago. Looking for a 911 as I have two young kids (8/9) that are getting quite interested in cars so I need a 2+2 to 'justify' the purchase. Thanks in advance.

8 or 9 years old might fit in the back seat for another year or two... they grow up fast!

I have an '03 Cab. One warning I will give is the back seats of the Cab are slightly different than the coupe to accommodate the roof. The backs of the seats are more upright (almost leaned forward), so not terribly comfortable, even for kids. Short rides are fine, but anything longer and I think you will hear complaints.

You can find a wide C4S 996 in that price range, love that widebody. We have bought many sub 30k just need to be quick.. I've been starting to look around hoping that some people don't want to deal with winter storage.. I plan to use it during the winter
