The interior and dash are a massive improvement. No physical buttons and there is a nice click when you touch a button on the screen. Large clear display, nice little steering wheel and lovely seats. Huge rear lift gate, rear seats configured for two passengers. much better looking outside...rear wheel 21 x 315..almost as big as my RS. Twin turbo V8. Like the new tail lights too. Should be fun to drive.......

What's wrong with making an engine look like and engine? I really can't stand all that extra useless plastic cladding.

I love the new design. Might be the most practical and sporty Porsche yet...

But seriously, the plastic cladding helps increase the amount of petroleum based products used on the car. I have no idea why somebody would want that...
The plastic cladding speaks to the less mechanically inclined... in a german accent, it emanates: "Ziizz motor ist nich fer fingerpoken".
It helps increase the billable rates for repairs, and that leads to revenue.

I'm one of the few who has always liked the Panamera, even the early ones. At the Porsche World Roadshow in 2013, I got to try 5 Panamera models at Mosport, including the turbo and GTS. Incredible cars. It makes me wish I wanted/need a sedan.

The covers give it a clean look for those that care and it helps hide that blasted fossil fuel internal combustion engine to make the green meanies feel better.
Is the "click" on the screen and audible or physical?
Alpine Electronics introduced what was called "pulse touch screen technology" into mobile electronics back in '04.
I like the cars new lines.
