Right on bother!! Keep driving it until it stops running. The PO of my 996 drove it until 340Kkm and then when the engine stropped running, traded it in for a new Boxter.

Hate to resurrect an old thread but I have been researching looking for real answers on a 993.
I have found one in Beverly Hills and I fell in-love with it all over again. I saw one of these when I was 21 yrs old. I knew then I had to have one. Well FWD 20yrs later, more wisdom, better and much higher paying job and I now I can get one.
I can afford to buy a new 2014-15ish 911 but this one is the model that always comes to mind when I think Porsche.

LOL coincidentally I find another favorite of mine made the year I was born
Here is that one: https://www.excellence-mag.com/class...9#.Wa21dtiIq71

My 1995 933 is a daily driver. (parked in the winter however)
It has 215,000kms. One owner.
It is stock paint with road rash and small dents.
I rather leave it stock then repaint it. The patina is excellent.
The steering wheel is nice and worn and so is the shift ****.
Perfection.
Carpets were replaced.
Stock suspension, brakes and clutch. Work perfectly.
Engine has never been out.
When the time comes, I will do the engine and keep the car going as stock as possible.
Stock radio died and steering rack needed rebuild.
Would want at least $35k for this car given the market. But it is not for sale.
Comparable condition long hoods are going for $50-80k to give one an idea of where the values are going on even high mile 993.
