Default Porsche Centre North Toronto

Anyone knows who will operate the new dealer at 401 and 404, which is also the site of future Porsche Canada head office?

So this is a corporate store not run by one of the dealer groups?

Where is the "Porsche Canada" dealership exactly? Every time I drive by 404/401 I see the new Audi building being worked on but I haven't seen Porsche yet.

Right beside Audi, they haven't started yet. Broke ground last year but not much movement so far.

As I understand it, this is a new car sales only corporate store, and the rest goes through the dealerships. I believe that includes service. The dealers are not thrilled with this.

Personally do not like Corporate stores. Both Mercedes and BMW went this way downtown, and the service is much worse than in the dealer locations. I have dealt with both of them and they are more impersonal, harder to book, and less customer focused than when there is an owner with skin in the game.

I heard same as Ronan. Factory store for new vehicles only. This is in Pfaff's geographical territory so I believe they will have a service facility near the factory store to service and sell pre-owned vehicles.

Hard to believe the factory thinks they will have a better market penetration than the current dealers do. Even harder to think we as consumers would get better service from this enterprise? Only so many allocations of vehicles for Canada. Will this actually hurt the current dealers?

I will not be switching from Stuart at Pfaff to say I bought directly from Porsche.

Now that I think about it, I did get a "card" from Pfaff with pics and names of various staff members stating they had a goal of taking care specifically of new Markham clients. Never gave it much thought really at the time and tossed the card but thought maybe Pfaff was opening the dealer at 401/404

I think Pfaff's new dealership is going to be by Vaughan Mills.

It would be nice if they turned this into an 'exclusive' store where you could spec a car with PTS and exclusive options with someone who knows about the stuff, kinda like Ferrari's tailor made program.

Pfaff is also currently looking for location, namely Enterprise and Birchmount in Markham in hope to open up a smaller dealership to serve the Scarborough/Richmond Hill/Markham/Pickering and beyond clients. Pfaff does not want the new corporate store to take away their existing clients who currently have to travel to Woodbridge to service their cars.

If you haven't met Stuart Drummond at Pfaff, you should. He is probably the most knowledgeable Porsche Exclusive guy in Ontario. He spec'd those Pfaff Anniversary white Turbo S cars and does many other exclusive cars for clients as well.
